Our BESS product range
Faber E-Tec offers battery storage systems for every application. From compact systems for commercial applications to large containers for industry and energy parks. Our solutions can be used flexibly and can be supplemented with suitable transformer stations if required. This provides you with complete energy infrastructures from a single source.
In addition to our battery storage solutions, we also develop and manufacture customised Compact transformer stations, which are perfectly matched to BESS systems. We therefore offer complete energy infrastructures from a single source, from the transformer station to the storage container.
What is the 5,015 kWh BESS container from Faber E-Tec suitable for?
The 5,015 kWh BESS container is ideal for industrial energy applications such as peak load management, grid stabilisation, reactive power control, energy storage from PV and wind systems and charging infrastructure. Thanks to its output of 2.5 MW, it can also be integrated into demanding supply grids.
What is the difference between the variant with AC cabin and the variant with PCS container + transformer?
The AC cabin solution combines PCS, transformer and switchgear in a single 30 ft cabin - ideal for compact installations. The PCS/transformer variant separates the modules into BESS container, PCS container and medium-voltage transformer, which is particularly suitable for large energy parks, utilities and modular multi-MWh projects.
Which cell technology is used in the 5,015 kWh container?
All 12 battery clusters are based on LFP cells (lithium iron phosphate 3.2 V / 314 Ah). LFP offers a high level of safety, a long service life, thermal stability and is ideal for continuous industrial use.
How is the system protected during operation?
The container has comprehensive protection mechanisms, including
- Aerosol fire extinguishing system,
- Explosion-proof flue gas routing,
- Emergency water sprinkler,
- Liquid cooling & dehumidification,
- BMS monitoring (cell/cluster/system),
- Temperature & humidity sensors,
- Protection class IP54.
This makes the system suitable for the toughest outdoor conditions.
How is cooling carried out in the 5,015 kWh BESS container?
The system utilises an intelligent liquid cooling system that precisely regulates the temperature of all 12 clusters. This prevents cell ageing, extends the service life and enables reliable 24/7 operation - even in warm climates.
Which mains connections and voltages are possible?
Depending on the variant, the following mains connections are possible:
- 690 V AC (low voltage, PCS output),
- 10-35 kV via transformer (variant with AC cabin),
- 10 / 20 / 30 kV via external transformer station (PCS/transformer variant).
All systems comply with VDE-AR-N 4110/4120, IEC 62619 and other international grid standards.
Can the 5,015 kWh container be scaled?
Yes, thanks to the string architecture and AC-side parallel connection, several containers can be modularly coupled to expand projects to multi-MWh level.
What performance does the system actually deliver?
The container delivers up to 2.5 MW discharge power at 0.5 C rate.
In combination with the AC cabin, 2 × 1,290 kW PCS (= 2.58 MVA) are available.
What are the advantages of the string topology in the 5,015 kWh BESS?
- Fault isolation (clusters work independently),
- no circular flows,
- balanced ageing of all batteries,
- High efficiency even with partial output,
- Fast maintenance thanks to modular components.
Is integration into existing energy systems possible?
Yes, the system can be integrated into PV systems, wind farms, charging infrastructure, microgrids or classic industrial networks - thanks to versatile EMS/SCADA interfaces such as RS485, Modbus TCP/RTU, IEC104 and IEC61850.
