The Faber E-Tec 418 kWh is a highly integrated battery energy storage system (BESS) with a capacity of exactly 417.997 Wh, marketed as 418 kWh. The system is specially designed for commercial and industrial applications as well as for integration into solar parks to efficiently store surplus green energy temporarily.

Faber E-Tec GmbH uses a combination of safe lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells and intelligent liquid cooling for this system. This enables a high energy density on a very compact footprint and ensures a long service life of up to 10,000 cycles (with module guarantee).

Thanks to its connection to the spot market, the Faber E-Tec 418 kWh enables the feed-in time to be shifted in a targeted manner. Electricity can be stored when prices are low (or there is an oversupply) and then fed into the grid when exchange electricity prices are at their highest. This maximises the project return on investment (ROI) considerably.

Safety is standard at Faber E-Tec GmbH. The 418 kWh Cube has a multi-stage fire protection system consisting of perfluorohexane fire protection, aerosol extinguishers, an emergency water spray system and an explosion-proof exhaust system. The system fulfils the international standards NFPA855 and NFPA69.

Yes, the system is fully compliant with the current German grid standards. It is certified in accordance with VDE-AR-N 4110:2023 (medium voltage) and VDE-AR-N 4120:2018/A1:2024 (high voltage). It also supports smart grid functions such as Volt-Var, Freq-Watt and ramp rate control.

Absolute. With protection class IP66 for the PCS (Power Conversion System) and an operating temperature range of -30°C to +60°C, the storage system is equipped for the most demanding outdoor installations. The intelligent heating and cooling function keeps the battery cells within the optimum temperature range at all times.

 

The system is supplied as a highly integrated cube in which the BMS, EMS, thermal management and fire protection are already installed ex works. This minimises the installation work on site and enables rapid commissioning by the EPC partner or Faber E-Tec GmbH.
